Public reporting states that Hamilton was stopped for alleged speeding and failure to yield. Cellphone video recorded from inside the vehicle reportedly shows Camacho standing at the driver’s door, unfastening Hamilton’s seatbelt, and then forcefully removing Hamilton from the vehicle by first pulling her clothing and then grabbing her hair with both hands. Hamilton can be heard pleading not to be ripped from the vehicle and later shouting that Camacho was pulling her hair. Local News Matters reported that Hamilton alleged the force caused hair loss and scarring, and that she was later charged with reckless driving and resisting.
